When Alonso and Norris almost tasted success together
The upcoming Daytona 24 Hours race will feature several former F1 drivers who have now transitioned to endurance racing, including Jenson Button, Felipe Massa, and Romain Grosjean. This year’s race will take place at the prestigious Daytona Speedway as part of the IMSA SportsCar Championship on January 27-28. However, F1 stars have competed at Daytona before, such as Juan Pablo Montoya and Martin Brundle, who were previous winners. In 2018, Fernando Alonso, a double F1 world champion, teamed up with Zak Brown’s United Autosports as part of his quest to win the Triple Crown of Motorsport. Despite not achieving victory at Daytona, Alonso used the race as preparation for his next goal, the Le Mans 24 Hours.
